Marcia C. Martin Bell, 81, of Blairsville, PA died on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 in the Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, PA.A daughter of Joseph F. and Mildred Stahlman Martin, she was born August 15, 1922 in Blairsville, PA.Mrs. Bell was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA where she was a CCD instructor for more than 30 years and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court St. Theresa #562. She graduated from Blairsville High School with the class of 1940.Surviving are three sons, Joseph T. Bell and his wife, Michele of Greensburg, PA; Paul A. Bell and his wife Arlene of Blairsville, PA and Christopher J. Bell and his wife, Janine of North Huntingdon, PA and three daughters, Marcia Gaul, of Seattle, Washington; Paula M. Bell of Ligonier, PA and Rosemary K. Maynard of Reston, VA; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul A. Bell in 1974; a daughter, Jacquelyn Elizabeth Bell in 1966 and a sister, Dorothy Patterson in 1944.The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held on Friday at 8:30 P.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.The Catholic Daughters of America will recite the rosary in the funeral home on Friday at 3:00 P.M.Memorial contributions may be made to the Love and Light, % SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, 155 North Brady St., Blairsville, PA.
