F. Eugene Lukehart, 84, of Latrobe, PA formerly of Blairsville died on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 in the Loyalhanna Care Center, Latrobe, PA.A son of Ralph and Margaret Taubler Lukehart, he was born July 10, 1919 in Black Lick, PA.Mr. Lukehart was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Blairsville, PA.He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Air Force.Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed by Bergman's Hardware, Blairsville, PA for 50 years.Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Betty Painter Lukehart, whom he married on December 26, 1940; a daughter, Betty Jean Sanfilippo and her husband, Frank of Latrobe, PA; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a brother, Donald "Ray" Lukehart of Pottstown, PA and a sister, Nancy Delandro of Blairsville, PA.He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald E. Lukehart in 1990; three brothers, William, Walter and Richard Lukehart and a sister, Ruth Lukehart.The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Blairsville, PA with Rev. Bruce J. Theakston officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.Military services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and the American Legion.
