Mary M. Meloy Murray, 96, of Blairsville, PA died on Sunday, February 22, 2004 at her home.A daughter of Thomas P. and Margaret Hammill Meloy, she was born July 5, 1907 in Blairsville, PA.Mrs. Murray was a member of the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA.Surviving are a son, William Murray and his wife, Linda of Black Lick, PA; three daughters, Mary M. Dristas of Hobart, Indiana; Theresa Adams and her husband, Edward of Lower Burrell, PA and Dolores Yazvec and her husband, James of Stow, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Meloy of Blairsville, PA and John Meloy of Lexington, NC; her caregiver, Roberta Heming and wonderful neighbors, Bill and Polly Pandullo.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milford J. Murray on October 18, 2002; a daughter, Patricia Shchouchkoff; granddaughter, Natalie Shchouchkoff; great grandson, Michael McGee; three brothers, Joseph, Leo and James; and four sisters, Bertha Barnes, Martha Nicol, Regina Suman and Dorothy Meloy.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A Wake service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:30 P.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. in the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
