Hannah Leona Dunmire Burkley, 90, of Indiana, PA formerly of Blairsville, PA died on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 in Scenery Hill Manor, Indiana, PA.A daughter of James M. and Etta Mae Slusser Dunmire, she was born November 5, 1913 in Maysville, Armstrong Co., PA.Mrs. Burkley was a member of the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA, the 55 and Over of the church, a 40-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Theresa #562 and a former member of the Blairsville Grange.She is survived by a son George Richard "Turk" Burkley and his wife, Diane, Blairsville, PA and a daughter Carol Bernabo and her husband, Tim, Blairsville, PA.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George F. Burkley in 1974; two brothers, Henry B. Dunmire and James M. Dunmire and a sister, Bertha M. Dunmire.The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A Wake service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 8:30 P.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will follow in the SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA. The CDA will recite the rosary in the funeral home on Friday at 3:00 P.M.
