Nancy A. Patterson Thorn, 68, of Clearfield, PA died on Thursday, December 4, 2003 in the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.A daughter of John and Mildred Alexander Patterson, she was born March 28, 1935 in Reynoldsville, PA.Mrs. Thorn was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Clearfield, PA. She enjoyed playing pinochle and visiting with her children and grandchildren.Surviving are two sons, William T. Thorn II and his wife, Sharon, Cabot, PA; Randall L. Thorn and his fiancée, Rebecca Hebenthal, Indiana, PA and a daughter, Wendy S. Shields and her husband, Gene, Superior, CO; five grandchildren, Caleb T. Thorn; Hannah L. Thorn; Landon W. Shields, Britton Lynn Shields and Jordon A. Shields.She was preceded in death by her parents.The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:30 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.Services will be held on Sunday at 4:30 P.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. David Brewer officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Clearfield, PA.The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
