John L. "Coke" Delcoco, 76. of Blairsville, PA died on Friday, November 28, 2003 in the Keeper of the Flame, Blairsville, PA.A son of Constantino and Concetta Bendetto Delcoco, he was born on February 26, 1927 in Blairsville, PA.Mr. Delcoco was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Italian Club and the VFW Post #5821, all of Blairsville, PA. He enjoyed bowling and going to flea markets.He graduated from Blairsville High School in 1945 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.Prior to his retirement in 1992, he worked for FMC, Homer City, PA and he also worked for Ferguson Furniture Store, Blairsville, PA for 30 years.Surviving are two sons, Michael Delcoco and his wife, Cathy, Blairsville, PA and Mark Delcoco and his wife, Joan, Reston, VA; four grandchildren, Lea Delcoco Fridley and her husband, Brandon; Tom Delcoco, Daniel Delcoco and Sarah Delcoco; a brother, Robert Delcoco and his wife, Roseann, Blairsville, PA and a sister, Doris Sobota, Blairsville, PA He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Olga Elias Delcoco on August 3, 1988.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. where a Wake Service will be held on Sunday at 8:30 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 A.M. in the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
