Alberta M. Stewart

Alberta “Babe” M. (Slupek) Stewart, 82, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville.

A daughter of the late Anthony and Alberta (Maruca) Slupek, she was born Aug. 31, 1941, in Kent, PA.

Babe was a 1959 graduate of Indiana High School. After almost 50 years, she retired from management at AT&T. Babe enjoyed going on cruises with her husband, sewing and reading. She also loved dancing, playing cards and going to the casinos.

She is survived by four siblings: Josephine Gunn, of Alexendria, VA; Anthony Slupek, of Virginia Beach, VA; Linda Rellick and husband Don, of New Alexandria; Deborah Courtright, of Goodyear, AZ; and 14 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kirk M. Stewart; sister, Patricia Slupek; sister-in-law, Luanne Slupek and brother-in-law, Martin Gunn.

Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Entombment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
