Anthony "Tony" M. Brown

Anthony “Tony” M. Brown, 53, born in Washington, D.C. on May 14, 1971, and most recently lived in Connellsville, PA, died suddenly on August 24, 2024 after a very short illness at Magee Women’s Hospital of UPMC, Pittsburgh, PA.
Tony was raised in Maryland, and was a lover of all types of music, movies, comedy, and sports, specifically Maryland teams and wrestling. Tony was a loving, caring, and gentle giant that touched so many lives and was loved by all that he met.
Tony was a long time employee of TeleTech Verizon in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his parents, Theresa (Ouellette) Merkle (Robert) of Waldorf, MD, and Ralph Brown of Uniontown; six daughters, Ashlei Brown of Republic, Tatiana Brown of Perryopolis, Felicia Brown of Blairsville, Danielle Hoyt (Jeffrey) of Smithfield, Presley Carter of Uniontown, and Halie Carter of Republic; two sons, Lucus and Cole Pritts, both of Connellsville; a sister, Dawn Shue of Waldorf, MD; six grandchildren; a fiancée, Leslie Pritts; former spouse and friend, Julie Takach; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Donna and George Dextras.
Per Tony’s wishes, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
