Barbara Joanne Moffa

Barbara Joanne (Glieco) Moffa, 88, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, in Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.

The daughter of Fiori Glieco and Argie (Gasbarro) Glieco Bellini, she was born April 18, 1936, in Columbus, OH.

Joanne graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 1954 and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Derry.

In Joanne’s spare time, she enjoyed bowling, golfing, reading in addition to sewing, knitting, crocheting, and playing the piano.

Surviving is her husband of 66 years, Daniel E. Moffa, whom she married on June 21, 1958; her daughter, Catherine Greene of Greensburg; two sons, Daniel Moffa of Pottstown, and Thomas Moffa (Brenda) of Dayton, OH; five grandchildren, Danielle, Victoria, Olivia, Lonnie, and Bobby; four great grandchildren; her sister, Mary Ann Otremsky of Monroeville; her brother, William Bellini of Grayson, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather who loved her as his own, Guerrino Bellini, who raised her, mother and father-in-law, Catherine and Mike Moffa, and her brothers-in-law, Tony and Mike Moffa.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 1st from 10 – 11:30 AM, at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 12 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 125 S. Ligonier St., Derry, PA with Fr. Salvatore R. Lamendola celebrant.

Interment will be in the St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe.
