Brandy L. Wilkie

Brandy Lynn Wilkie, 38, of Blairsville, PA (Derry Twp.) passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville, PA.

The daughter of Randy L. Wilkie and Debra L. (McAdoo) Allison, she was born December 29, 1980 in Indiana, PA.

Brandy graduated from United High School, Class of 1999 where she was a member of the cheerleading and majorette squads and a member of the FFA.

She graduated from Citizens School of Nursing, Allegheny Valley Hospital, in 2009 and worked in the dialysis unit at Indiana Regional Hospital.

She took dance classes at Sharon’s School of Dance, Indiana.

Brandy considered herself one of the three musketeers, the other two were Joshua McAdoo and Shelley Whittaker.

Surviving are her son, Gavin Lee Taylor of Derry; father, Randy L. Wilkie (Brenda Wright) of St. Stephen, SC; mother, Debra L. Allison (Clifford) of Blairsville; maternal grandmother, Wilma McAdoo of Jamestown, NY; two brothers, Kristopher Marinas of Indiana and John Allison (fiancée, Allisyn Herre) of New Salem; three sisters, Toni Blattenberger (Barry) of Black Lick; Marcia Allison of Bentleyville and Nicole Allison of Blairsville; stepbrother, Sean Wright of St. Stephen, SC and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Charlene Boring, paternal grandparents, Doyle and Anna Mae Hoover and an aunt Brenda McAdoo.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Naomi Scott officiating.
