Brian Anthony Torok

Brian Anthony Torok, 44, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh, PA.

He was the son of Randall A. Torok, Sr. and Edna Mae (Reeger) Torok; he was born in Latrobe, PA on August 30, 1975.

Brian was a graduate of United High School, Class of 1995 and attended Westmoreland Community College receiving his Associates degree in Criminal Justice.

He was head of security at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport, Latrobe, working there for 20 years.

He was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, and was a past exulted ruler of B.P.O.E. #406, Blairsville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working with his hands doing carpentry, auto mechanics, and electrical work.

In addition to his parents, Randall and Edna Torok of Blairsville, he is survived by his wife, Valerie (Esteb) Torok of Indiana; ex-wife, Robin Miholics of New Florence; children, Brian A. Torok, Jr. and Savanna D. Torok of Blairsville; step-children, Liliana Grube and Cadence Esteb of Indiana; sisters, Christina Harper (Bret) of New Alexandria, Michelle Mlakar (Jeffrey) of Blairsville; brother, Randall Torok, Jr. (Tammy) of New Florence; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Anthony and Mary Deptula; maternal grandparents, Harvey and Leona Grumbling.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Sunday. Prayers of transfer will be held at 9:15 A.M Monday at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Stephen R. Bugay celebrant.

Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
