Chelsea E. Mahkovic

Chelsea Elizabeth Mahkovic, 25, of Hostetter, PA, formerly of Latrobe,  passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.

The daughter of Samuel P. Mahkovic and Cynthia F. (Soles) Mahkovic, she was born August 14, 1993 in Jeannette, PA.

Chelsea graduated from Greater Latrobe Senior High School and worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Latrobe, PA.

She liked taking pictures and nature, loved her animals and spending time with her family and friends.

Chelsea was a bright and optimistic young woman who had dreams and goals like any of us.  She was known for two things, being a hard worker and loving her family and friends.  She was the kind of person who would go out of her way to help someone even if she was struggling herself.  Her niece, Adalyn was one of her best friends.  They bonded from the day she was born.  She was always looking out for her younger sister, Lex, helping her to overcome adversity and being the best influence.

Chelsea’s mother Cindy always worked herself to the core in order to provide the best life she could for her children.

Surviving are her mother, Cynthia F. Mahkovic of Derry; her father, Samuel Mahkovic of Greensburg; two sisters, Ashley Mahkovic and Alexis Mahkovic, both of Derry; niece, Adalyn and girl friend, Ciara Cole of Derry.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marti Soles and a brother, James Mahkovic.

A private visitation will be held at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.
