Daniel Joseph Lazor

Daniel Joseph Lazor, 72, of Homer City, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana.

He was the son of Nicholas Lazor and Rosemarie (Lahr) Lazor. He was born on June 4, 1947 in Waterman, PA.

He was a proud member of the American Legion #493, Homer City, where he sat on the board of directors for many years; the Red Barn Sportsman Club, Homer City; Elks in Indiana. Daniel volunteered with Four Footed Friends and helped them build the building they now reside in.

Daniel served in the United States Army as a sergeant in the 11th Armory Calvary, Black Horse Regiment, during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

He was a graduate of Indiana High School, Class of 1966.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Nancy (Lovisa) Lazor of Homer City, whom he married on December 27, 1969; daughter, Danielle Lazor of Homer City; son, Eric Lazor of Homer City; siblings, Linda Ravenscroft of Tunnelton, Eileen Husted (Marshel) of Indiana, Dennis Lazor (Trudy) of Coral, Gloria Fisher (Raymond) of Indiana, Cathy Lyon (Terrance) of Hardeeville, SC, Bonnie Overman (Rick) Indiana, and Tom Lazor (Alissa) of Hilton Head, SC; and best friends, Larry and Karen Eller of Blairsville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Michael Lazor who died in 1994.
