Daniel R. "Bob" Madey

Daniel R. “Bob” Madey, 91, of Clune, PA (Young Twp.) passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

The son of Roman and Pauline (Skuba) Madey, he was born July 4, 1933, in Clune, PA.

Bob was a veteran of the US Air Force. He later held a management position at Robertshaw Controls, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of C&Y Sportsmen’s Club and the Shelocta Sportsmen’s Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Frances E. (Harkins) Madey, whom he married on September 8, 1967; two children, Kimberly Zaborowski (Thomas) of Pittsburgh and Gary Madey of Murrysville; four grandchildren, Travis, Anna, Nathan, and Alexa; and a brother, Samuel Maday of York, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Catherine, Anita, Adolf, Edward, Bertha, Elizabeth, Blanche, Stanley, Cecelia, Henry, Leonard, and Veronica.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, December 17, from 4 to 7 PM at the Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N. 7th St., Indiana, PA. 

Per Bob’s wishes, the funeral service will be private.
