Darla L Weaver

Darla Lee (Sulkosky) Weaver, 60 of Blairsville, PA passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her home.

Born November 7, 1962, in Latrobe, PA, she was the daughter of Leroy A. Sulkosky, Sr. and Grace (Bruner) Sulkosky.

Darla graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 1980 and from Indiana County Vo Tech in the LPN program.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, Indiana.

Darla loved dogs, baking bread and spending time with her family.

Surviving is her mother, Grace (Bruner) Sulkosky of Hillsdale; her husband of 43 years, John H. Weaver, whom she married on July 19, 1980; a daughter, Jamie L. Kerr (Daniel) of Sarver; three siblings, Cindy Buffone of Blairsville, Leroy A. Sulkosky, Jr. (Heidi) of Blairsville, and Tresa Hibbs (Rick) of Blairsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy A. Sulkosky, Sr. in 2017.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 31st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. Tom Spiker officiating.
