David G. Libengood, 56, of Brenizer, died on January 26, 2021 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was the son of Ronald G. Libengood and Mary J. (Pahel) Libengood; he was born in Indiana, PA on March 19, 1964.
Dave was a member of the White Eagles in Latrobe, and F & J in Derry. He was a truck driver for Tresco Paving Co. “Tar Wars” for many years.
He enjoyed being a part of the Demolition Derby in New Alexandria, playing pool in the Zsapa League and the Latrobe/Derry traveling league, and working on cars in his spare time.
Dave is survived by his wife of seven years, Lorie (Burns) Libengood of Brenizer; three children, Justine L. Libengood of Salina, Ryan Libengood (Fiancée Katie Guzzo) of Murrysville, and Philip Wiltrout of Latrobe; a sister, Brenda Koestler (Mike) of Brenizer; a brother, Charlie Libengood (Reba) of Brenizer; three grandchildren, Brooklyn, David, and Lilly; in-laws, Richard and Ruth Burns of Latrobe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Jacob Stutzman.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In keeping with COVID-19 mandates, masks, face coverings and social distancing guidelines must be followed in the funeral home.
