Donna Anderson

Donna Lee (Orr) Anderson, 87, of Indiana, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020, at St. Andrew’s Village.

A daughter of the late Kenneth Reed and Mary Beulah Henry Orr, she was born March 26, 1933, in Indiana.

Donna graduated from Indiana High School in 1951, after which she attended Indiana State College (later Indiana University of Pennsylvania), graduating in 1955 with a bachelor’s degree. In addition to being a homemaker, Donna had also worked at Learn’s Upholstery Shop and Anderson’s Shoe Store, where she contributed to the design and display at the store. She was a deacon at Calvary Presbyterian Church and was a charter member of the Indiana Ballroom Dance Club. Donna was also a member of AARP 2581 and Silver Sneakers. She enjoyed gardening and loved to travel.

Donna is survived by three children: Christopher D. Anderson (Wendy), of Monroeville; David P. Anderson (Debbie), of Glendale, AZ; Steven H. Anderson (Karen), of Walkersville, MD; six grandchildren: Christy J. Wells, William P. Anderson, Robert D. Anderson, Jonathan H. Anderson, Timothy J. Anderson, Thomas A. Anderson; four great-grandchildren: Ava Mae Wells, Emma Jane Wells, Austin David Wells, and Callie Ray Anderson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Austin P. Anderson, Jr; a sister, Shirley V. Treese; and a brother Kenneth C. Orr.

Due to health concerns of COVID-19, a private memorial service will be held at Calvary Presbyterian Church. A private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.          Arrangements are being handled by Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home of Indiana.
