Dorothy “Dot” Krolick, 81, of Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Communities at Indian Haven, with her loving daughters by her side.
A daughter of Peter and Susan (Zapotocky) Petras, Dot was born January 20, 1942, in Johnson City, NY, a suburb of Binghamton.
Dot graduated from Clymer/Penns Manor Joint High School in 1960 where she played the trumpet in the band and was a cheerleader.
In 1964, Dot moved to Indiana where she worked as a secretary, receptionist and dental assistant. In 1990, Dot became co-owner of Cycle Sport and Ski in downtown Indiana where she enjoyed helping customers from around the area. In her younger years, Dot enjoyed bowling in the Elks ladies’ league, and more recently was a member of the Eagles. An avid Steelers fan, you would often find Dot watching Steelers football games, dressed in her favorite jersey cheering on the team. Dot was a member of St. Thomas More University Parish.
She is survived by daughters Kelly Krolick (Mike Vernon) of Virginia Beach, VA; and Kimberly Krolick Preblick (Ryan Preblick), and granddaughters Peyton and Andie Preblick of Goochland, VA. Dot is also survived by her sister, Patricia (Petras) Gaydos, of Indiana; and brother Joseph Petras of Clymer. She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of visitation, the family will be organizing a Celebration of Life at a later date. Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
