Emerson Morgan Gamble, 72, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.
The son of Emerson L. and Loretta M. (Reeger) Gamble, he was born March 26, 1947 in Indiana, PA.
Mr. Gamble was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church, Indiana, PA.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for Fisher Scientific, Indiana, and was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War and Vietnam War.
He liked to fish and hunt and work on cars, especially painting them and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Sharon J. (Barbus) Gamble whom he married June 5, 1969; his mother, Loretta M. (Reeger) Gamble of Indiana; two sons, Curt M. Gamble of Blairsville and Scott P. Gamble of Blairsville and a daughter, Tonya A. Cochran (James) of Plum; four grandchildren, J.D., Chloe, Dylan and Cassidy; three sisters, Carol Detwiler (Wes) of Dilltown; Martha Cameron (Homer) of Dilltown and Ruth Wagner (Doug) of York; two brothers, Larry Gamble (Karen) of Indiana and Daniel Gamble (Amy) of Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his father and a son, David Gamble.
At the request of Mr. Gamble, there will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
