Evelyn Kathleen Zearfoss

Evelyn Kathleen “Kaye” (Bell) Zearfoss, 72, of Blairsville, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at St. Anne Home, Greensburg, PA.

Kaye, as she was known by family and friends, was the daughter of Robert S. and Evelyn I. (Geissinger) Bell, she was born November 19, 1946 in New Brighton, PA.

Kaye was a member of Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville.

She graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 1965 and retired on June 30, 2007 from Torrance State Hospital after 32 years of service in the laundry department.

Kaye enjoyed reading, doing crewel and embroidery work and being with her family and friends, Ray McIntire and family.  She was funny, loving, generous and devoted to her family.

Surviving are her sisters, Roberta Kerley (Dave) and Patricia Weaver (Joe), all of Blairsville; three nephews, Jim, Mike (Nancy) and David Platt; her niece, Christina Weaver (fiancé, Josh Patterson); great nieces and a nephew and their children.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Erin Evans officiating.

Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
