Frances Delilah Gordish

Frances Delilah (Clawson) Gordish, 99, of Blairsville (Derry Twp.), died on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 in Beacon Ridge Nursing Home, Indiana, PA.

She was the daughter of Wallace E. Clawson and Delilah (Hullenbaugh) Clawson; she was born on February 2, 1921 in Moween, PA.

Frances was a member of the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville. She liked solving word search puzzles and watching QVC and HSN.

She is survived by her children, Gloria Marron (Joseph) of Blairsville, Kenneth Gordish (Judy) of Canal Winchester, OH, and Alan Gordish (Margie) of Pittsburgh; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Gordish who died in 1984; brothers, Norman Clawson, Lloyd Clawson, Russell Clawson, and Archie Clawson; sisters, Anna Mae Sherrard, Susan McKeever, Cora Hill, Violet Hogue, Virginia Horrell, and Myrtle Coffman; grandchildren, Maureen Moss and Mark Marron.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A. M. Monday in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Prayers of transfer will be held at 10:30 A.M Monday at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. in SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Stephen R. Bugay celebrant.

Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.

Due to the pandemic only 25 people will be permitted in the funeral home at one time. Be prepared to wait in line until others leave.
