George I. Marshall

George I. Marshall, 89, of Clarksburg, PA passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in St. Andrew’s Village, Indiana, PA.

The son of Stuart and Mary (Speedy) Marshall, he was born January 3, 1930 in Conemaugh Twp., Indiana Co., PA.

Mr. Marshall was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Lewisville, where he was a ruling Elder and treasurer of the Cemetery Board, also a member of Franklin Lodge #313, Indiana, and Coudersport Consistory.

He worked at Westinghouse, Blairsville, for 34 years, retiring in 1990 and owned and operated a farm raising sheep.  He took great pride in how his farm looked.  He enjoyed deer hunting.

Mr. Marshall was a veteran of the Army, having served in the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Eileen J. (McIntyre) Marshall whom he married November 23, 1955; son, George W. Marshall (Michelle) of Clarksburg; daughter, Becky J. Shank (Jeff) of Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Lori Steinhoff, Kevin Shank, Greg Lenz, Colleen Marshall and Sara Marshall; five great grandchildren, Marshall Shank, Hadley Steinhoff, Grayson Shank, Carter Steinhoff and Timothy Lenz and a sister, Lois J. Geyer of Clarksburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Glen Marshall and a sister, Anabel Cochran.

As per George’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Private interment in Ebenezer Cemetery, Lewisville, will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, c/o of Karen Davis, 41 Maple Ave., Blairsville, PA 15717.
