Geraldine Miller Baker

Geraldine (Buterbaugh) Miller Baker, 86, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.

The daughter of Lewis B. and Wilda H. (Mumau) Buterbaugh, she was born April 19, 1933 in Commodore, PA.

Mrs. Baker graduated from Green Township High School, Commodore, and worked for 30 years at Torrance State Hospital, retiring in 1987.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Blairsville, and the Red Hat Society.

She enjoyed wood crafts, square dancing, golfing at Chestnut Ridge but the most important parts of her life were her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband of 19 years, Kenneth M. Baker whom she married November 13, 1999; two sons, R. Craig Miller (Linda) of Blairsville and C. Mark Miller (Mary Jo) of Blairsville; stepson, Daniel Baker (Bonnie) of Farmington; stepdaughter, Susan Jozefowicz (Arthur) of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Nicholas Miller, Patrick Miller, Eric Baker, Jason Jozefowicz, Lynn Murray and Jessie Jozefowicz; four great grandchildren and a sister, Imogene Bencic of Indiana and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Charles R. Miller in 1994, a grandson, Nathan Miller in 2009, two brothers, Norman B. and William C. and a sister, Martha Mae Buterbaugh.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Cory A. Braatz officiating.

Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.
