Grace E. Chaplin

Grace Elizabeth (Shrum) Chaplin, 102, of Indiana, PA, formerly of Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at St. Andrew Village, Indiana, PA.

The daughter of Orville B. and Bessie B. (Beason) Shrum, she was born March 6, 1917 in Beaver County, PA.

Mrs. Chaplin worked at Federal Laboratories, Tunnelton, retiring in 1976.

She enjoyed playing bingo and going to casinos.

Surviving are a son, Stanley M. Chaplin (Bertha) of Indiana and a daughter, Grace E. Chaplin of Indiana; a brother, Archie Shrum of Van Wert, OH; five sisters, Martha Bell Keller of Salina; Mary Emma Lutz of Avonmore; Wavie McClelland of Saltsburg; Anna Kramp of Flagler Beach, FL and Georgia Seaberry, Merritt Island, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Violet Mae Kelly and Bertha Puskar, four brothers, Chester, Harold, Floyd and Orville Shrum.

The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Cory A. Braatz officiating.

Interment will be in Iselin Union Cemetery, Young Twp., PA.
