Jackie Peak Shaffer

Jackie Peak Shaffer, 63, of Homer City, was called home on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024.

The daughter of Dorothy Mae and William Jasper Peak, she was born Oct. 1, 1960, in Indiana.

For most of her life, Jackie lived in Indiana, outside of the time she spent living in Pittsburgh for nearly 10 years. She has resided in Indiana since 2011.

Jackie was a 1979 graduate of Homer Center High School. After high school, Jackie worked in construction as a flagger before she went on to become a dedicated employee and eventually a manager at Payless Shoe Source in Indiana. Jackie loved to help people, she was an in-home caregiver, and even worked in hospitality serving her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, of which she has been an avid fan all her life. Jackie loved to take pictures and collect angels.

Surviving is her husband, Charles John Shaffer, Jr., of Indiana; and siblings: William Peak, NC; June Peak (Charles Jones), Pittsburgh; Robin Peak, Pittsburgh; Ronald Peak, Lucernemines; JoAnn Peak, Lucernemines; Rita Peak, VA; Joyce Peak, Pittsburgh; Linda Peak, Pittsburgh; Norman Peak, Pittsburgh; and half-brother, Gary Smith, Harrisburg.

The best AUNTIE in the WORLD, leaves behind 19 nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews.

The immediate family will have a private visitation from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024. Friends will then be received from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana. The service will start promptly at noon and continue until 1 p.m. with Elder Stanford Webb III officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Oakland Cemetery.
