Kenneth C. Brown

Kenneth Clyde Brown, 87, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at his home.

The son of Vernon Crosby Brown Sr. and Evelyn (King) Brown, he was born on February 7, 1938, in Bridgeport, PA (Westmoreland County).

Mr. Brown was a veteran of the US Air Force and worked for Allegheny Power until his retirement in 1993.

He was a member of The United Presbyterian Church, former member of the Borough Planning and Borough Police Committees, and coached Little League from 1981 to 1987, all in Blairsville.

Mr. Brown enjoyed painting.

Surviving is his wife, Eileen L. (McDonald) Brown, his daughter, Barbara Ann Anderson of Delmont; his son, Brian K. Brown of Blairsville; his grandson, Dalton Anderson (Emily); his step granddaughter, Courtney Bollinger; his sister, Linda Neal of Blairsville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1975, and his mother in 2005, his sister, Beverly Bourke, his brother, Vernon Brown and his step grandson, Brady Bollinger.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, March 15th at 11 AM with Pastor John Manon officiating.

Interment will be in the Brown Cemetery, Acme, PA.
