Kenneth Ralph Bruner

Kenneth Ralph Bruner, 72, of Blairsville, PA passed on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at his home.

The son of Ralph and Beatrice (Wolfe) Bruner, he was born May 5, 1947 in Blairsville, PA.

Ken graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 1965 and worked for Season-All Industries, Indiana, for 30 years before retiring.

He was a member of Red Barn Sportsmen’s Club, Coral-Graceton Sportsmen’s Club, Tide Sportsmen’s Club, Sons of American Legion, Homer City and Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Club.

He enjoyed spending time with his four-footed grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Diane L. (McGarry) Bruner whom he married February 13, 1975; a daughter, Melanie L. Reeger (David) of Blairsville; two brothers, Clark Bruner of Blairsville and Tom Bruner (Marilyn) of Blairsville; a sister, Virginia Zona of Clarksburg; a special sister-in-law, Rebekah Bruner of Blairsville; two other sisters-in-law, Joyce Bruner of Clarksburg and Bonnie Greene (Ted) of Belsano; two nephews, Thomas Bruner, Jr. of Longwood, FL and Bob Bruner of Indiana; his good buddies, Paul Henry and Ken Clark and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James R. Bruner, two sisters, Martha Bruner and Roberta Kwisnek, a sister-in-law, Gladys Bruner and a brother-in-law, Joseph Zona.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Fred Craig officiating.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, PA.
