Linda M. (Gourley) Passmore

Linda M. Passmore, 71, of Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville.

A daughter of Donald and Henrietta (Knauff) Gourley, Linda was born March 15, 1953, in Punxsutawney.

Linda was employed over the years by the Indiana Borough as a meter maid and crossing guard and later retired after working in the hotel industry. She loved shopping at thrift stores, crafting, nature, feeding the birds and her cat “Baby”. One of Linda’s favorite hobbies was collecting Boyds Bears, Beyer horses and anything to do with birds, foxes or deer.

Mrs. Passmore is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Gary M. Passmore, of Indiana whom she married on March 29, 1980; and a son, Jason Passmore, of Indiana. Linda was one of fourteen children.

In addition to her parents and three brothers, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley M. Passmore in 2018.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2025, at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2025, with Pastor Doug Wolfe officiating. Interment will be in La Jose Cemetery in Mahaffey.

Due to Linda’s love for animals, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made to an animal related charity, in lieu of flowers.
