Lorena A. Overman

Lorena Ann (Fisher) Overman, 79, of Homer City, passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, at Beacon Ridge.

A daughter of the late Wayne and Lorena (Michael) Fisher, she was born Oct. 17, 1945, in Indiana.

Lorena was a graduate of Laura Lamar High School. She was a homemaker and a longtime caregiver. Lorena was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved caring for her family. Lorena enjoyed crocheting and doing crafts, often donating these items to churches and nursing homes.

She is survived by two children: Jerry L. Overman, Jr. and wife Diann, of Homer City; and Tammy L. Alexander and husband Tony, of Homer City; a brother, Michael Fisher and wife Jayme, of New Florence; three grandchildren: Tyler A. Alexander, Noah M. Overman and wife Kourtni, and Anna E. Overman-Worlinsky and husband Jeremy; and two great-grandchildren: Kyly and Rayna.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Jerry L. Overman, Sr., whom she married Oct 5, 1963, and passed away Dec. 24, 1996; and three siblings: Janet Beeler, Ronald Fisher and Patricia Winston.

Friends and family will be received from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana, with Pastor Charles Harvey officiating. Interment will be private in Greenwood Cemetery.
