Luella Roceil McHenry Shields Shultz, of Creekside, known throughout her life as Roceil, passed away on May 6, 2020 at the age of 102.

Born April 3, 1918 in Creekside, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late George Meade McHenry and Belle Gibson McHenry.

Born, raised and married in Creekside, she raised her family and made her life there until she moved to Clairvaux Commons in Indiana at the age of 70. She married Torrence Shields in 1939 and had one son, Allan. After Torrence's untimely death, she went on to marry Shelton Shultz in 1957; Shelton had two children, Rudane and Nancy, whom Roceil loved and cared for as her own.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing games and cooking meals for family gatherings. She was a lifetime member of Graystone Presbyterian Church in Indiana, PA, having joined in 1930. Very active in her community, she loved being Secretary of the Creekside Grange and a member of the county, state and national Grange. She was a member of Creekside Civic and Literary Club and was the Washington Township tax collector for a time.

In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald McHenry and Willis McHenry, two sisters, Gladys McHenry and Mildred McHenry Davis and one beloved nephew, David Frick.

She is survived by her three children, Dr. Rudane Shultz of Lenexa, Kansas, Allan Shields of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Nancy Shultz Shields of New Castle, Pennsylvania; as well as seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two great-great granddaughters, one niece and four nephews.

A private burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, with a memorial service to be held at a future date.
