Mary Jane Jones

Mary Jane (Myers) Jones, 92, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg, PA.

The daughter of Irue D. and Anna Mae (Silvis) Myers, she was born on May 8, 1931, in Unity Township, PA.

Mary enjoyed gardening and had a large garden.   She loved her family and adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Mary was the last surviving sibling of her six brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her five children, Ronald Jones (Vickie) of Blairsville, Nancy M. Jones of Blairsville, Randall W. Jones (Honey Jean) of Blairsville, Barry E. Jones of Blairsville, and Linda M. Kelly (Patrick) of Greensburg; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Gill of Virginia and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Jones, Jr. on February 19, 1978, three brothers, Earl “Ike”, Raymond and William “Bill” Myers, three sisters, Thelma Cecchetti, Theda “Tiny” Martinez and Margaret “Peg” Gates.

All services and interment are private.  Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery.
