Mary E. Lyons

Mary Esther (Malnofski) Lyons, 83, of Blairsville, PA died on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg, PA.

The daughter of Louis and Albina (Sistek) Malnofski, she was born on November 4, 1940, in Truxall, Bell Twp., PA.

Mary was a graduate of Derry High School, Class of 1959 and worked at Blairsville Machine for 15 years until her retirement in 1995.

She loved working at home in her garden and taking care of her animals in addition to fishing and camping with her husband.

Surviving is her son, Robert E. Lyons of Blairsville; a grandson, Robert Lyons; three great grandchildren, Hunter, Arya, and Autumn; and a sister, Virginia Costanza of Derry.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Marshall E. Lyons on February 19, 2013, her parents, three sisters, Ruth Malnofski, Ann Sheetz, and Patricia Malnofski, and a brother, Louis Malnofski.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 2-4 PM and 6 PM until the time of the funeral service at 7 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. with Pastor Jack Lucas officiating.

Interment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, PA.
