Mary Edith Scott

Mary Edith (Little) Scott, 96, of Clarksburg, PA (Conemaugh Twp.) passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, Lynn Haven Personal Care Home, Black Lick, PA.

The daughter of J.L. and Bertha M. (Bolen) Little, she was born on December 22, 1926, in Livermore, PA.

Edith graduated from Elders Ridge High School, Class of 1944 and worked as a hair stylist.

She was a member of the Penn Hills Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Penn Hills, PA.

Edith played the piano, and enjoyed making flower arrangements and wedding cakes, but her true joy was helping people.  She spent many years as a companion to Glenn Barnhart, a childhood friend, who was reunited later in years.

Surviving is her daughter, Dorothea R. Haught (H. Carroll) of Carlisle; five grandchildren, Matthew Scott, Lindsay Gross, Jason Scott, Paul Haught and Cynthia Haught; five great grandchildren, LaCayla, Cameron, Desarae, Declan, and Lainey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond D. Scott, Sr., on February 25, 1995, her two sons, Raymond D. Scott, Jr., and Dale A. Scott, her three brothers, Paul Little, Jay Little, and Elmer Little, and her sister, Clara Repine.

Per Mary’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills, PA.
