Nancy D. Moreno

Nancy D. Moreno, 70 years old, passed away peacefully in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 13, 2025 after an extended illness. She was born in Blairsville, PA on March 5, 1955. Preceded in death by father, Albert J. Moreno, and mother, Jennie J. Moreno (Tedeschi); survived by her sister, Kathleen J. Angello (Richard) of Quakertown, Pa; nephews Jon Angello (Jennifer), Sellersville, PA, and Michael Angello (Kristin), Pompey Center, NY and great nieces and nephews Isabella, Phoenix, Luca and Iris.

Nancy was a 1973 graduate of Blairsville High School, and a graduate of BCI (Business Careers Institute) of Blairsville. She was a retail clerk at HealthMart, Inc. for 5 years, before accepting a position as Customer Service and Sales Representative for Adelphia Communications. Over her 25-year career at the Adelphia Cable Company she received 6 recognition awards for outstanding sales and service, and for leadership in the year 2000.

Nancy was a generous soul, always willing to help anyone in need. She especially enjoyed being with and partaking in playful banter with her nephews, who were the loves of her life and used to hide her slippers in the freezer! Before her disability Nancy loved to walk, and was an avid reader of books about saints, and the life of Jesus and of Mary, which continued until her passing. Throughout her years of illness her faith and love for Jesus never wavered. From Saint Monica, the mother of Saint Augustine, “Lay this body anywhere. Let not the care of it trouble you at all. I ask only this of you; that you remember me at the Lord’s altar, wherever you be.”

Family and friends are invited to attend Nancy’s Mass of Christian Burial, on Monday, March 24th 2025 starting with a loving eulogy at 10:45am followed by her Mass at 11:00am at St. John the Baptist, 4050 Durham Rd, Ottsville, PA 18942. Interment is scheduled at 10:00am on April 12th at St. Simon and Jude Cemetery in Blairsville, PA. Because of Nancy’s kind and loving heart, she was loved by so many. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
