Paul Joseph Lamantia, Jr.

Paul Joseph LaMantia, Jr., 74, of Latrobe, PA passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at home.

The son of Paul J. LaMantia, Sr. and Ann I. (Flickinger) LaMantia, he was born March 4, 1949, in Johnstown, PA.

Paul graduated from Laurel Valley High School, Class of 1967 and worked for the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers, and Allied Workers Local #37 of Pittsburgh.

He belonged to the Hostetter Club and was a talented artist.

Surviving are two children, Angela M. LaMantia of Norvelt and Paul J. LaMantia III (Sandra) of Blairsville; three grandchildren, Brandon LaRosa, Kylie LaMantia, and Calvin Fleming; three great grandchildren; a brother, William R. LaMantia (Denise) of Mt. Pleasant; and an aunt, Anna Lentz (Ron) of Blairsville.

He was preceded by his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 19, 2023, at 4:30 PM in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, with Pastor J. Paul McCracken officiating.

A dinner for family and friends will be following the service at the Derry Ukrainian Club, 315 Dorothy St., Derry, PA.
