Ronald Eugene Davis, Sr.

Ronald Eugene Davis, Sr., 79, of Blairsville, PA (Burrell Twp.) passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at his home.

The son of James and Bertha (Carmichael) Davis, he was born September 29, 1940 in Bradenville, PA.

Ron lived most of his life in Burrell Twp. and was employed by Dietrich Industries for 29 years.

He was a member of VFW Post #5821 and the FOE #1488, both of Blairsville.

Ron enjoyed camping, hunting and dancing with his wife, Charlotte.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Charlotte A. (Sandolfini) Davis whom he married, October 28, 1972; five children, Debbie Greer, Ronald Davis, Cindy Davis, James Davis and Robert Davis; five stepchildren, Sandra Palmer of Blairsville; David Glance (Vickie) of Josephine; Sherry Mathews (James) of Brush Valley; Tammy Hartman (Joseph) of Washington, GA and Ronald Davis, Jr. (Kimberly) of Orlando, WV; 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; a brother, Dana Davis (Tanya) of Homer City; a sister, Sandy Kijowski of Homer City and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Daryl, Gary and James Davis, a granddaughter, Nicole McKendrick and a great grandson, Zane McCachren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home with Mr. Bill Hebenthal officiating.

Interment will be private.
