Shirley Ann Komperda

Shirley Ann (Hill) Komperda, 71, of New Alexandria, PA passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.

The daughter of Edgar and Anna Grace (Altimus) Hill, she was born November 1, 1947 in Latrobe, PA.

Shirley was a member of Crossroads Christian Church, Bradenville. She was a lifelong piano player and enjoyed playing for her church.

She graduated from Derry Area High School, Class of 1965 and attended Indiana University of PA.

Surviving are three sons, John E. Komperda, Joseph E. Komperda and Jacob E. Komperda, all of New Alexandria; one grandchild, Krystal Noble, one great grandchild, Kaitlynn Nobel, and two brothers, William Hill of Layton and Jeffrey Hill (Sandy) of Colorado Springs, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward Komperda in 2014.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.

There will be no funeral service.

Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA
