Sue Ann (Clawson) Gamble, 69, of Josephine, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at home surrounded by her family and friends.
The daughter of Roy and Anna Margaret (Sullinger) Clawson, she was born December 25, 1949 in Indiana, PA.
Sue was a member of the Chapel of Hope, Black Lick. She was active in her church organizing and preparing dinners for the community. She had a special way of reaching people and loved sharing God’s word whenever she could.
She worked many years at IUP in dining services.
Sue truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures playing yahtzee, walking in the woods and traveling.
Surviving are her loving husband of almost 30 years, William R. Gamble whom she married March 26, 1989, three daughters, Anna Pierce (Ray) of Black Lick; Cathy Miller (David) of Vintondale and Tina Cochran (Frank) of Clyde; five grandchildren, Shane Kanouff, Kristina Davidson, James Winkelman, Amber Cochran and Tyler Cochran, seven great grandchildren, brothers, Cliff Clawson (Cindy) of Brush Valley; Joe Thaler (Marcie) of NC and Jim Chikas (Christine) of NC: and sisters, Phyllis Muir (Randy) of Vintondale; Judy Long (Edward) of Plumville and Vicki Clawson of Latrobe.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Linda Janosko.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor David Kimball officiating.
The family would appreciate donations being sent to the funeral home to help with expenses.
