Sylvia Louise Lively

Sylvia Louise (Hill) Lively, 81, of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in Keeper of the Flame Nursing Home, Blairsville.

She was the daughter of Floyd E. Hill and Pearl C. (Goodwin) Hill and was born in Westmoreland County, PA on August 6, 1938.

She was a nurses aid at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA for 32 years until her retirement in 2004.

Sylvia was a member of Harvest Assembly Church in Derry, PA. She lived a plain and simple life and loved God.

She is survived by her children, William F. Lively, Jr. of Blairsville, Bryan Houser(Vicki) of Blairsville, Charles Houser (Regan) of Indiana, Karen Hummel of Blairsville, and Susan Hood (Ivan) of New Florence; siblings, Ronald Hill of Blairsville, Lauretta Lewis of South Carolina, Carol Daugherty of Blairsville, and Pauline Palmer of Blairsville; nine grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William “Fred” Lively, Sr. who passed away in 2014; a brother, Floyd Hill; daughter, Janet Lively; grandson, “Little Jon” Hummel; son-in-law, Jon Hummel and her loving dog, LadyBug.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Shawn Lyons officiating.

Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
