Twila I. Dunlap

Twila Irene (Howard) Dunlap, 88, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 at her home.

The daughter of George S. and Fannie W. (Kelly) Howard, she was born April 6, 1931 in Black Lick Twp., Indiana County, PA.

Mrs. Dunlap was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Sewing Club and a former member of the Blairsville Horseman’s Association.

She was a self-employed beautician and had a beauty shop in her home for 55 years.

She enjoyed playing cards in the many card clubs, gardening at her home and spending time with her family, siblings and friends.

Surviving are her daughter, Connie I. Richless (Dr. Lloyd) of Pittsburgh; a daughter-in-law, Debra Dunlap of Pittsburgh; two grandsons, Andrew Richless and Kyle Richless, a sister, Clara Savage of Blairsville and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, D. Alex Dunlap in 2017, a son, David H. Dunlap in 2016, three brothers, Wilbur, Frank and LeRoy Howard and four sisters, Ethel Davison, Velma Howard, Hazel Reed and Grace Weinell.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday at the Hopewell United Methodist Church, 150 Hopewell Road, Blairsville, PA with Rev. Dawn Krishart officiating.

Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
