Viola M. Kelly

Viola Mary (Smith) Kelly, 94, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.

She was born March 20, 1925 in Blairsville and was the last surviving child of John A. and Nora (Marsh) Smith.

Mrs. Kelly was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville and Blairsville Chapter #166 Order of the Eastern Star.

She was an extraordinary seamstress, cook and baker and loved to travel.

Surviving are a son, John R. Stumpf (Mary Margaret) of Blairsville; four grandchildren, Jonna Keller, Stacy Faulk, Tricia Baker and J.D. Stumpf, eight great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Hothouse in 1985, and eight brothers and seven sisters, John Repine, Sarah Repine, Tilly Ramsden, Ray Repine, George Repine, Albert Smith, John Smith, George Smith, Louise Smith, Estella Murin, Warren “Bud” Smith, Marge Johnston, Mildred Faith, Thelma Cline and Merle Smith.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Cunkelman officiating.

Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
