Wallace W. Trusal

December 15, 1931 — June 3, 2024

Wallace “Wally” Wesley Trusal, 92, of Indiana passed away Monday June 3, 2024 surrounded by his family.

He was born December 15, 1931, in Indiana, the son of Earl and Dora (Spence) Trusal.

Wally graduated from Indiana High School and attended Indiana State Teachers College before going to work for McGill Motors in Indiana. A forty-year career with Westinghouse Specialty Metals Division in Blairsville followed, retiring as a Buyer in 1995. The job he loved best, though, was as a boy and teen working on the McCreary Farm with the Holt family.
He served in the US Navy (Reserves) from 1951-55. He was a member of Graystone Presbyterian Church and Calvary Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder in both congregations. He also served as a member of Indiana Borough Council for thirty-four years with many of those years as Chairman of the Police Committee. He loved to travel with his wife Frances and extended family. As avid campers, their
trailer logged many miles through State and National Parks. Many Trusal grandchildren fondly remember their turn to camp with their grandparents.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Frances Stephens Trusal; daughters, Pamela Trusal Kemper (Chris) and Jill Trusal Juengel (Mark); sons, Bradley Trusal (Brigette) and Thomas Trusal (Noel); grandchildren, Christopher Juengel, Kelly Juengel Doppelheuer (Jason), Eric Juengel (Emily), John Kemper (Juli), Lauren Kemper, Megan Trusal Carlise (Mike), Lindsey Trusal Easler (James), Emily Trusal, Lincoln Trusal and Regan Trusal; great grandchildren, Tori and Teagan Doppelheuer and Maeve and Jude Juengel.

Wally was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Dora Trusal; sister, Bernice Trusal; brother, Maurice Trusal (Gertrude) and sister Thelma Trusal Cober (John).

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 10 at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11 at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 695 School Street, Indiana, followed by a funeral service. Interment will take place in Oakland Cemetery.
