Walter H. "Mike" Short

Walter Harold “Mike” Short, 66, of Northern Cambria, PA, formerly of Gray Station, PA, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 in the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.

The son of Walter E. and Christine D. (DiPerna) Short, he was born February 9, 1954 in Westmoreland Co., PA.

Mike worked for M & A Transportation as a truck driver  for 10 years.

He loved romantic comedy, riding dune buggies and ATVS and enjoyed drinking coffee.

Surviving are his fiancée, Shelba Wolfe of Northern Cambria; three children, Pearly Otradovec (Troy) of Latrobe; Tina M. Rematt (Mike) of Hastings and Dina Short of Flinton; stepson, Roger Stephens of Williamsport, MD; six grandchildren, Zack, Kasey, Breanna, Michaela, Sonja and Morgan, four siblings, Paul J. Short of Gray Station; Dolores J. Cowan of Brenizer; Patricia A. Davis of Derry and Garry L. Short of Gray Station and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, William K. Cowan.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. James R. Henigin officiating.

Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
